Shopping: Day 1

OH HEY! WHAT'S THAT LINK ON THE RIGHT ===>

I was hoping for some amazing bargain in the clearance section to get me started today, like $1 for a dozen eggs. No such luck.

Pasta 59c
Sardines in tomato sauce 59c
3 Oranges 78c

I have 5c change. Lucky. I am saving up for eggs.

Challenge starts tomorrow

What the #%@$ was I thinking?

OK - so I need to visit the supermarket at 8am Wednesday so that I can buy food for day 1; but hang on a sec.... I have a primary school hearing screening clinic on Thursday and I need to be there at 8:30. So with transport I won't have a chance to shop on Thursday until 6pm. This $2 needs to make:

Wednesday Breakfast
Wednesday Lunch
Wednesday Dinner
Thursday Breakfast
Thursday Lunch

Plus snacks... Ummm

Hearing testing 50 five year olds on an empty stomach... Grumpy much?

There are a few affordable filling items I have identified, like oats for 99c or pasta for 59c. The thing is, I prefer food to be delicious. With so few options to choose, the decision seems so much more important.

The main question...

So tomorrow is day 1, right? And I'll only have $2, right? And I'm planning to buy a bag of oats and some apples, right? And today I can spend whatever I like. In fact 2 whole weeks worth of pocket money if I want to.

Should I just eat like a glutton from sunrise to sunset? Or will that just make tomorrow even hungrier?

Votes please.

Like. Share. Donate. Easy!

I took this quote from a wonderful and clever friend of mine. Yes, I do enjoy to throw around blatantly grandiose compliments. Doesn't mean it's untrue.

Anyways. I took the picture from another wonderful and clever friend if mine.

The moral, when combined, is "don't go bacon my heart, like, share, donate."

And here is one more fabulous quote to sign off for today:

"Won't somebody please think of the children?!?"
